GOP Sen Murkowski: ‘We Should Not Repeal Without a Replacement,’ Becomes Third GOP Vote Against Repeal Then Replace

While speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) came out against the plan to repeal Obamacare and replace it later, making her the third GOP vote against the plan and putting it below the number of votes it needs to pass.

Murkowski said of the motion to proceed on the repeal now and replace later plan, “I’m not there.”

When asked if she would vote against the motion to proceed, Murkowski responded, “I said in January, we should not repeal without a replacement, and just an indefinite hold on this just creates more chaos and confusion.”

Murkowski joins Republican Senators Susan Collins of Maine and of Shelley Moore Capito West Virginia in opposing the plan to repeal now and replace later. The three Republican no votes mean that without Democratic support, the repeal now and replace later plan does not have the votes to pass.

White House chief strategist Steve Bannon once called House Speaker Paul Ryan a “limp-d— motherf—– who was born in a petri dish at the Heritage Foundation,” according to a new book on Bannon’s relationship with the president.

The book “Devil’s Bargain: Steve Bannon, Donald Trump, and the Storming of the Presidency,” written by Bloomberg Businessweek correspondent Joshua Green, was released this week and includes some colorful anecdotes about the top White House adviser.

Bannon’s crude insult was reportedly made last July when a sudden fear took hold of him that Ryan would try to wrest the nomination from Donald Trump during the Republican National Convention.

Ryan had previously said he would not make such an attempt, insisting, “I do not want, nor will I accept the nomination for our party.”

But despite this assurance, Bannon reportedly spiraled “into a panic of his own” at the prospect. He spit out the insult while he was in Breitbart’s Washington, DC newsroom, according to Green’s book.

Bannon’s mention of the Heritage Foundation was meant as an additional slight against Ryan — Bannon reportedly believes the conservative think tank caters to the “globalist donor class.”

Bannon doled out a number of creative insults during the campaign, according to Green’s book, including calling then-Fox News host Megyn Kelly “pure evil” following the infamous Republican primary debate in which she grilled Trump on his past behavior towards women.

Disturbing allegations have arisen once again about R. Kelly, with a number of insiders claiming that the secretive singer is allegedly housing half a dozen young women in properties in Chicago and Atlanta as part of a sex “cult.”

The latest bombshell against the singer comes via a lengthy Buzzfeed report entitled “Inside the Pied Piper of R&B’s ‘Cult’,” written by longtime Chicago music journalist Jim DeRogatis. The story, based on interviews with a trio of alleged former Kelly inner circle members –Cheryl Mack, Kitti Jones, and Asante McGee — as well as reviews of legal documents, claim that six women recruited by Kelly live in his rented properties, where he is in control of all aspects of their lives: “from what they eat, how they dress, when they bathe, when they sleep, and how they engage in sexual encounters that he records.”

Mack and Jones told DeRogatis that Kelly has a strict set of “rules” the women must follow, which result in physical and verbal punishments if they don’t comply.

According to Mack and Jones, breaking the singer’s rules results in punishments, with Mack claiming that “you have to ask to use the bathroom… [Kelly] is a master at mind control… He is a puppet master.” Mack, Jones and McGee listed the women who allegedly lived in Kelly Duluth, Georgia, “guest house” and his Chicago recording studio last summer.

They described them as including a 31-year-old “den mother” who “trained” newcomers on how Kelly liked to be pleasured sexually. That unnamed woman was reportedly best friends since high school with the girl at the center of a 2008 trial in Chicago in which a jury acquitted Kelly of child pornography charges after he was accused of having sex with a then 14-year-old girl and videotaping it. The Grammy winner has denied allegations he had sexual relationships with underage girls in the past, although he has settled a number of lawsuits; he also claimed in a 2016 interview with GQ magazine that he’d been sexually abused as a child.

The victims also reportedly include: a 25-year-old woman who’s been party of Kelly’s entourage for seven years, a 19-year-old recent arrival model who’s been photographed with Kelly in public and named on music gossip sites, a 26-year-old Atlanta songwriter who began her relationship with Kelly around 2009, when she was 19 and an 18-year-old singer from Polk County, Florida, who Mack said was 50-year-old Kelly’s “favorite — his number one girl.”

One mother, who thought Kelly was interested in helping her then 19-year-old daughter’s music career when they met the singer in 2015, was aware of the numerous allegations against the singer over the years. She and her husband thought they could protect their daughter, though two years later they are reportedly in a “desperate fight” to bring her home.

The mom has shuttered her business, turned into an amateur detective and reached out to the FBI and police in two states with her concerns, though officials say their daughter is not a missing person in the eyes of the law because she says she’s living with Kelly and doing fine. Her parents, however, have told police she’s being “held against her will” in what they’ve deemed a “cult.”

Police reportedly performed welfare checks in both Illinois and Georgia over the past year and no charges were filed after the aspiring singer allegedly told Cook County police she was “fine and did not want to be bothered.” The mom, though, had a different story about the last time she saw her daughter on Dec. 1, 2016. “It was as if she was brainwashed. [She] looked like a prisoner — it was horrible,” she said. “I hugged her and hugged her. But she just kept saying she’s in love and [Kelly] is the one who cares for her. I don’t know what to do. I hope that if I get her back, I can get her treatment for victims of cults. They can reprogram her. But I wish I could have stopped it from happening.”

The woman’s parents have only heard from her twice since then. Spokespeople for the Duluth Police Department and Cook County Sheriff’s Department could not be reached for comment on the report at press time.

Jones and McGee, who both said they lived with Kelly and had sexual relationships with him over the past five years before leaving his orbit, claimed they had limited control over their phones and social media feeds during that time, with no photos allowed with Kelly or any of the rooms in his homes. Mack added that Kelly often insists the women wear jogging outfits because “he doesn’t want their figures to be exposed; he doesn’t want them to look appealing. In addition, Mack said that when men are in the same room, Kelly would make the “girls turn around and face the wall in their jogging suits because he doesn’t want them to be looked at by anyone else.”

The three former staffers claim Kelly calls the women who live with him his “babies,” that they are required to call him “Daddy” and that they must ask permission to leave the Chicago recording studio or their assigned rooms in the guest house near his rented mansion in suburban Atlanta. The singer allegedly confiscated their cell phones and gave them new ones that they are only allowed to use to call him or others with his permission. McGee and Jones also claim that Kelly films his sexual activities with the women and shares the videos with men in his inner circle.

DeRogatis noted that the law allows consenting adults to take part in any relationship they like, no matter how “nontraditional,” and that all the women allegedly in Kelly’s circle are of legal age. The reporter, who has written extensively on Kelly in the past, said the singer has settled more than a dozen civil lawsuits out of court with cash payments, including a recent one for a 17-year-old aspiring singer who was said to have been part of Kelly’s inner circle.

Buzzfeed also said it had obtained recordings made by Kelly that DeRogatis said proves a pattern of behavior with women in which he changes the subject from music to sex, though the two snippets included in the story involve small-talk about music. A spokesperson for Kelly could not be reached for comment at press time.

Leaving them for dead, 29-year-old Abdel-Rahman Shaaban fled the scene, chased by hotel workers and security guards. He rushed into the hotel next door where he attacked and wounded four female tourists who, according to local media reports, included two Armenians, one from Ukraine and another from the Czech Republic.

“Stay back, I am not after Egyptians,” Shaaban shouted in Arabic at his pursuers, according to the officials. They eventually caught up with him, disarmed and pinned him down and later handed him over to the police. Shaaban stabbed the women in the face, neck and feet, said the officials.

No group claimed responsibility for the Friday attack, but it appeared to have been inspired by recent calls made by the local affiliate of the extremist Islamic State group on its followers to attack Egypt’s minority Christians and foreign tourists.

The officials said Abdel-Rahman hails from the Nile Delta province of Kafr el-Sheikh where he attended the business school of the local branch of Al-Azhar University – the world’s foremost seat of learning of Sunni Islam and the target of mounting criticism in recent months over its alleged radical teachings and doctrinal rigidity.

Investigators were still trying to determine how Shaaban came to be in Hurghada, one of Egypt’s main Red Sea resorts, popular for its year-round sunny weather and diving.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media.

A statement by the national security prosecution’s office, which is questioning Shaaban in Cairo, said Saturday that his motives and ideological convictions remained unclear. “The characterization of the action committed by the culprit, whether it is an individual act, criminal or terrorist, is not clear to the prosecution at this time,” said the statement.

Police are meanwhile interviewing 15 hotel workers to piece together what happened.

Germany on Saturday gave the first official confirmation that the two tourists killed by Shaaban were German nationals, but gave no other information. Local German media reports, however, said the two were residing in Hurghada, not tourists.

In a statement, the German Foreign Ministry said: “According to everything that we know, this act was aimed at foreign tourists – a particularly perfidious and criminal act that leaves us sad, dismayed and angry.”

The attack on the tourists took place just hours after five policemen were killed in a shooting near some of Egypt’s most famous pyramids in the greater Cairo area. No group claimed responsibility for that attack, which bore the hallmarks of a militant group known as Hasm that has been behind similar attacks in recent months.

A woman accused of throwing her newborn baby from an 8th-floor apartment window in Uptown has been sentenced to four years probation.

had been charged with four counts of murder for allegedly killing the baby girl moments after giving birth in her family’s apartment.

But prosecutors last week agreed to drop three of those charges and then reduced the fourth murder count to involuntary manslaughter of a family member. Judge Carol M. Howard handed down a sentence of probation.

Uddin was 19 when she gave birth around 11:20 p.m. on November 11, 2015, in a bedroom of an apartment she shared with her parents and sister. Police said they recovered scissors that Uddin used to cut the umbilical cord after giving birth in the same bed where her 11-year-old sister was sleeping.

Fearing that her strict parents were about to discover the pregnancy that she had kept secret from them, Uddin dropped the newborn headfirst out of her 8th-floor bedroom window in the 800 block of West Eastwood.

The girl was discovered about 30 minutes later lying in some grass by a passer-by. One hour later, she succumbed to her injuries, which included skull fractures, a broken spine, multiple broken bones, and internal injuries, prosecutors said.

Friends rallied around Uddin from the moment of her arrest, blaming her actions on the young woman’s upbringing in a strict Muslim family.

At Uddin’s bail hearing, her boyfriend’s mother told DNAInfo “No one is mad or upset [at Uddin] because we all know the household that she’s coming from.”

“With all her family has put her through, I’m surprised she didn’t jump out of the window herself,” the mother said to the Tribune.

Sharia law in Idaho. The three Muslim refugee boys who plead guilty in the heinous sexual attack of a five-year-old girl in Idaho were sentenced yesterday. No jail time. The judge barred everyone in the courtroom, including the victim’s own parents, from speaking about the case and threatened anyone with serious consequences if they violated his edict. Unheard of.

The sexual assault occurred at Fawnbrook Apartments, in Twin Falls, when a 5-year-old was lured into a laundry room, stripped of her clothing, urinated on, and orally and anally raped while the oldest boy filmed the entire incident.

Now, following a sentencing hearing Monday at the Snake River Juvenile Detention Center in Twin Falls, Judge Thomas Borresen of Idaho’s 5th Judicial District issued a gag order barring everyone in the courtroom from talking about it.

The victim’s lawyer is facing contempt charges because of a benign comment he made to the Idaho Statesman about the parents’ unhappiness with the verdict.

Mathew Staver, chairman and co-founder of the nonprofit legal assistance agency Liberty Counsel, told WND that Judge Borresen was completely out of line in issuing a gag order after the fact in a criminal case.

This judge is an evil son of a bitch.  He’s a child molester and you can tell.

“It’s unconstitutional for the judge to do that. There are gag orders that can be put on people during a jury trial, or if it’s a minor they can prohibit you from mentioning the name of the minor, but they can’t gag you after the fact,” Staver said. “This is public at this point. This judge, it just seems like he’s forgotten about the First Amendment in this case. He has no authority to do this, he can’t hold someone in contempt to keep them from speaking out about their displeasure with the case after the fact.”

Staver said case law is clear on the subject of gag orders.

TRAVESTY: MIGRANT ATTACKERS OF 5-YEAR-OLD UNPUNISHED

The travesty of justice in Idaho is now complete. In the summer of 2016, a 5-year-old girl was sexually assaulted and urinated upon by three Muslim migrant boys in Twin Falls, Idaho. Since then, instead of getting justice, the victim’s family has been abused by law enforcement and governing authorities as if they were the criminals – because what happened to their little girl contradicts the politically correct narrative about Muslim migrants. On Monday, the perpetrators were sentenced, and the final injustice was done to this poor girl.

The injustice began in the proceedings at the Snake River Juvenile Detention Center in Twin Falls when Judge Thomas Borreson of Idaho’s 5th Judicial District ordered the little victim’s parents to say nothing to anyone – ever – about what was said in the courtroom Monday, or to disclose the sentence he gave to the savage attackers. He did allow them to say that they were unhappy with the sentencing, but threatened to jail them for contempt of court if they disclosed why they were unhappy with itBut even though the victim’s parents were not allowed to talk to me, there were 12 to 15 people in the courtroom who saw and heard the whole sorry business. I was informed of what happened by an anonymous source inside the courtroom – and the more I heard, the more I understood why this judge wanted to keep all the proceedings secret.

Janice Kroeger, the senior deputy prosecuting attorney, who was supposed to be trying these boys for their crimes, defended the boys and repeatedly attacked Lacy, the victim’s mother. A therapist for the boys was present, as well as a parole officer and a detective. Everything that was said was designed to portray the perpetrators as victims. Throughout the proceedings, they were repeatedly called victims, and the youngest one was called “the biggest victim of them all.”

The court heard all about how the attackers are doing well in school, and about how smart they are. They were praised for the supposed ordeal they had to go through. It was claimed that all three are suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) from having to go through courtroom proceedings.

After this lovefest, which lasted for five hours in the courtroom, all three boys were sentenced, one after the other. All three were given probation. They were not found guilty of rape, but of sexually lewd conduct.

In the midst of this judicial mugging, every time Lacy’s lawyer tried to speak up, he was silenced. The little victim, Jayla, was never even mentioned once by Kroeger or the judge – or by the police or anyone else. Only Lacy mentioned her, when she made her statement. Lacy detailed how the poor girl is still suffering the effects of this attack: She is wetting the bed and having bad dreams, and more.

Yet when Lacy completed her statement, Kroeger lashed out not at the perpetrators or their parents, but at Lacy. She viciously tongue-lashed Lacy for a full 15 minutes, until finally Judge Borreson had to stop her.

Understandably, the parents of the victim were and are devastated. Back in April, when the attackers initially pleaded guilty, Twin Falls County Prosecutor Grant Loebs said: “I am pleased that we were able to resolve this case in a way that was approved and agreed to by the victim’s family. This continues to be a serious and sad case, but it was resolved properly.”

Nothing could be further from the truth. The resolution of the case was not accepted by the victim’s family, and it was not resolved properly.

From the beginning to the end, for Idaho officials this case was about one thing, and one thing only: not justice for this poor little girl who was brutalized and abused, but about making sure that Americans don’t start to realize what is happening and oppose the Muslim migrant influx. Idaho officials were willing to sacrifice this girl’s well-being for that goal – to their everlasting shame.
