The case of ‘revenge rape’ involving two families has was uncovered by cops after they drew up documents agreeing to the depraved deal

A FAMILY allegedly let off their daughter’s rapist after a sick trade let the victim’s brother do the same to her attacker’s sister.

The twisted case of “revenge rape” involving two families has been uncovered by cops in Pakistan.

One man had been accused of raping a woman in Pir Mahal in the Toba Tek Singh district of Punjab province, on March 20.

The suspect’s family had approached the victim’s family for “pardon and reconciliation”, according to local news reports.

Staggeringly the victim’s family agreed to pardon the rapist, on the appalling condition that “her brother would commit the same act with the suspect’s sister”, dawn.com reports.

A meeting between the two families agreed to the terms, and the brother then allegedly had sex with the suspected rapist’s sister on March 21.

Cops found out about the case when the two families prepared legal documents agreeing not to press charges against each other.

Pir Mahal Police Sub-Inspector Shaukat Ali Javed saw the papers and reported the families to his superiors.

All 12 people at the meeting, including four women, one of which was the victim of the second rape, were arrested on Saturday.

The case has chilling similarities another incident in the southern city of Multan last July, where a village council ordered the “revenge rape” of a 16-year-old girl.

The girl’s brother had sexually assaulted a 12-year-old, and the attack was reportedly carried out in front of her parents and 40 members of the village council.

NEW DELHI: India needs to “cherish and nurture” its Muslim population, which is integrated and considers itself Indian, former US president Barack Obama has said. It is an idea that needs to be reinforced, he emphasised at an event of a media organisation in New Delhi on Friday.

Obama touched on a host of topics, including his relationship with Narendra Modi and Manmohan Singh during his address and the question-answer session. Obama said he emphasised the need for religious tolerance and the right to practice one’s own faith during closed door talks with PM Modi during his last trip to India in 2015.

Responding to questions, Obama said his comments then were general in nature and he had repeated it in the US as well as in Europe. “There’s a counter narrative taking place, at all times, but it’s particularly pronounced now…

Replying to a question, Obama spoke of India’s “enormous Muslim population”, which is successful, integrated and thinks of itself as Indian. That is unfortunately not always the case in some other countries, Obama added.

Referring to India, he said, “And that is something that needs to be cherished and nurtured, cultivated. It’s important to continue reinforcing it.” To a separate question, he said Modi’s “impulse” was to recognise the importance of Indian unity. “I think he firmly believes the need for that in order to advance to the great nation status,” Obama said.

GFPs Rape 14 Year Old Girl and Filmed It Because ‘It Was Funny’

WEST JORDAN, Utah — Two men have been arrested in connection with the rape of a 14-year-old Utah girl that police say was recorded on video.

According to a statement of probable cause, police were contacted September 9 about a sexual assault involving a 14-year-old girl from West Jordan.

The girl’s father told police the girl had slept over at a friend’s house the previous night and made arrangements to sneak out with three guys, one of whom she had met before and communicated with through Snapchat.

The girl told police the men took her to a gas station to get alcohol before going to a mall parking lot, a hookah bar, and then a party at a home. She said the last thing she remembers is leaving the party and being in the back seat of a car with a man kissing her, and she said she told the man to stop.

Police obtained a recording that shows the victim in the back seat of a car with her head hanging off the seat and outside the door.

“[Victim] appears to be unresponsive through most of the video, but does make feeble attempts to push the person on top of her off,” the PC statement states. “It appears [Victim] is passed out and/or unconscious throughout most of the video and clearly cannot give consent to anything that is happening to her.”

The video shows two males apparently performing sex acts on the girl as the third man records the assault.

Police identified the man who the girl had met previously as Leclair Dodjim, who goes by “LA”. Police say the video shows the other men calling him “LA” as he is on top of the victim.

Dodjim admitted to police that they picked the victim up and they all consumed alcohol. He said the other man, who he called “Nash”, had sex with the girl before he attempted to do the same. He told police he was “too drunk” and so he just laid on her, and he denied performing any sex acts on the teen.

Dodjim identified the man who recorded the assault as his brother, Richard Mbaye Djassera. The brother was located and agreed to speak with police. He said he saw his brother and his brother’s friend having sex in the back seat of his car and decided to film it.

“He said he thought it was funny so he recorded them having sex on his phone,” police wrote in the PC statement.

Both Dodjim and Djassera have been booked into the Salt Lake County Jail. It is unclear whether police have identified the third suspect at this time.

Dodjim was booked for previous charges as well as several new charges that include aggravated kidnapping, rape, forcible sodomy, sexual exploitation of a minor, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and aggravated sexual assault.

No group claimed responsibility for the Friday attack, but it appeared to have been inspired by recent calls made by the local affiliate of the extremist Islamic State group on its followers to attack Egypt’s minority Christians and foreign tourists.

The officials said Abdel-Rahman hails from the Nile Delta province of Kafr el-Sheikh where he attended the business school of the local branch of Al-Azhar University – the world’s foremost seat of learning of Sunni Islam and the target of mounting criticism in recent months over its alleged radical teachings and doctrinal rigidity.

Investigators were still trying to determine how Shaaban came to be in Hurghada, one of Egypt’s main Red Sea resorts, popular for its year-round sunny weather and diving.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media.

A statement by the national security prosecution’s office, which is questioning Shaaban in Cairo, said Saturday that his motives and ideological convictions remained unclear. “The characterization of the action committed by the culprit, whether it is an individual act, criminal or terrorist, is not clear to the prosecution at this time,” said the statement.

Police are meanwhile interviewing 15 hotel workers to piece together what happened.

Germany on Saturday gave the first official confirmation that the two tourists killed by Shaaban were German nationals, but gave no other information. Local German media reports, however, said the two were residing in Hurghada, not tourists.

In a statement, the German Foreign Ministry said: “According to everything that we know, this act was aimed at foreign tourists – a particularly perfidious and criminal act that leaves us sad, dismayed and angry.”

The attack on the tourists took place just hours after five policemen were killed in a shooting near some of Egypt’s most famous pyramids in the greater Cairo area. No group claimed responsibility for that attack, which bore the hallmarks of a militant group known as Hasm that has been behind similar attacks in recent months.
