Twice failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is finally admitting her campaign paid for the Russian dossier on Donald Trump, albeit by default, and is calling it typical “opposition research.”
During an interview with The Daily Show Wednesday night, Clinton argued the Trump campaign colluded with Russian officials to win the presidential election and denied any wrong doing in hiring Fusion GPS and a foreign spy.
Not surprisingly, Clinton misrepresented the original hiring of Fusion GPS by a Republican donor. That donor was Peter Singer, who hired the firm on behalf of the Washington Free Beacon to do research on all of the GOP candidates during the primary, including Trump. Fusion GPS did not employ Christopher Steele, a British spy, to do any of this work. When the Clinton campaign hired Fusion GPS after Trump won, Steele was hired and worked with Russian officials to come up the infamous and salacious dossier.
Keep in mind the Clinton campaign and DNC officials have denied paying for the dossier for nearly a year, but were forced into an admission after a subpoena from House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes revealed both entities had in fact employed Fusion GPS to create the dossier.
Today Fusion GPS confirmed $168,000 of the estimated $12 million total went directly from the Clinton campaign to Steele.
A Washington research firm paid a former British spy’s company $168,000 for work on a dossier outlining Russian financial and personal links to Donald Trump’s 2016 election campaign, the U.S. firm said in a statement on Wednesday.
Although it was public knowledge that Fusion GPS paid for the work, the amount had not been disclosed. Fusion GPS hired former MI6 officer Christopher Steele to collect information about Trump and his advisers.
Fusion GPS’ statement said it had told Congress about how $168,000 was paid last year to Orbis Business Intelligence, Steele’s company.
The money paid to Orbis was taken from $1.02 million it received in fees and expenses from the Perkins Coie law firm, the statement said. The law firm represented the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, although initial research by Fusion into Trump and other Republican primary candidates was commissioned by a conservative website.
It’s just opposition research…that Team Clinton denied existed as a result of their actions.
Beat a damn confession out of these lying bastards.
A federal judge Thursday denied a request by Fusion GPS to void a House Intelligence Committee subpoena to provide bank records as part of the committee’s investigation into Russian activities during the 2016 election campaign.
U.S. District Judge Richard Leon found Fusion’s objections to the subpoena to be “unavailing” and denied the research firm’s request for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction that would have prevented it from handing over the documents.
Fusion GPS attorney Theodore Boutrous Jr. said the firm would appeal Leon’s ruling.
“Instead of focusing its efforts on Russian meddling in the presidential election, the Committee continues to misuse its investigatory power to punish and smear Fusion GPS for its role in uncovering troubling ties between #Russia and the Trump campaign,” Boutrous said in a statement.
The committee, chaired by Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., had subpoenaed the records in an effort to determine who paid for a now-infamous “dossier” outlining various claims about President Donald Trump’s connections with various Russian officials. The dossier, commissioned by Fusion GPS and compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele, was published in full by BuzzFeed in January of last year.
Among a number of unconfirmed allegations about Trump and his associates, the dossier included sordid claims about the president’s sexual proclivities.
“Although the records sought by the Subpoena are sensitive in nature,” Leon wrote in a 26-page ruling, “the nature of the records themselves, and the Committee’s procedures designed to ensure their confidentiality, more than adequately protect the sensitivity of that information.”
Leon also rejected Fusion’s claim that the subpoena would have a chilling effect on its work for political clients and violate the firm’s First Amendment rights.
“While the opposition research Fusion conducted on behalf of its clients may have been political in nature,” Leon wrote, “Fusion’s commercial relationship with those clients was not, and thus that relationship does not provide Fusion with some special First Amendment protection from subpoenas … the First Amendment is not a secrecy pact!”
In October, Fox News confirmed that Fusion GPS was retained by Marc Elias, an attorney representing the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. The DNC and the Clinton campaign paid Fusion to produce the dossier.
Earlier this week, Fusion GPS founders Glenn Simpson and Peter Fritsch wrote a New York Times opinion piece accusing congressional Republicans of being “in the thrall of the president” and waging a campaign to portray Fusion GPS “as the unwitting victims of Kremlin disinformation.”
In response, a spokesman for Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, noted that Simpson “has refused to answer dozens of questions voluntarily, and has failed to provide the Committee with documents and responses to follow-up questions …”
No one believes the fake news narrative. No Russian collusion damit.
New James O’Keefe Video: Washington Post Reporter Seems to Cast Doubt on Russia Collusion Story
James O’Keefe and Project Veritas released their latest undercover video Wednesday morning, showing Washington Post national security reporter Adam Entous doubting claims of collusion between Russia and President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.
The new video appears to have been recorded as part of an undercover investigation by Project Veritas into the Post before it was apparently foiled and exposed by Post reporters earlier this week.
Entous has been one of the Post‘s leading reporters on the Russia collusion story. In May, he published a story based on a secret audio recording of House Republican leaders in 2016, in which Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was heard to joke, “I think Putin pays … Trump.” Entous and the Post — who refused to release the raw audio — treated the story as a major scoop, capturing what Entous claimed had been “a politically explosive assertion.”
O’Keefe’s video appears to show that Entous privately doubts the Russian collusion story — though it is not clear when the video was recorded, and it is possible that Entous changed his view of the Russia allegations over time. In October, Entous was part of the Washington Post team that revealed that Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee had indirectly funded Fusion GPS and the infamous Russian “dossier.” (Conservatives have cited that report frequently — often without acknowledging the Post‘s work in publishing it.)
In the Project Veritas video, Entous is shown saying:
Our reporting has not taken us to a place where I would be able to say with any confidence that the result of it is going to be the president being guilty of being in cahoots with the Russians. There’s no evidence of that that I’ve seen so far.
…
Frankly, there may not be anything that gets the president. It may be just lower-level people who are compromised by this. We just don’t know. It’s very hard to tell. So, we just don’t know at this point.
…
In terms of the actual secret arrangements where they cooperate, we haven’t seen anything that shows that yet. We’ve seen a lot of flirtation, if you will, between them, but nothing that, in my opinion, would rank as actual collusion. Now, that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist, it just means we haven’t found it yet. Or it may mean it doesn’t exist.
…
I mean, it’s a f*cking crap shoot. I literally have no prediction whatsoever as to what would happen, and I do all the stuff for the Post on this … so I honestly would tell you, I have no idea.
In narrating the video, O’Keefe points out that numerous editorials and opinion articles in the Post have presumed that the allegations of Russian collusion are true. “Why doesn’t the editorial page reflect what the news people actually report?” O’Keefe asks, charging that the paper is biased. The video also shows footage of a woman identified as a Washington Post news executive saying that she hopes Trump is not re-elected.
Breitbart News has reached out to Entous for comment.
First thing I would love to say is thank you to the Common Sense Nation for all your support. Also yes Vimeo has taken all my videos down also but that will never stop us. We are doing a Radio Show at this link https://www.spreaker.com/user/commonsensenationand we will start doing it every day for 2 hours. We have some short shows that are only 15 minutes long but that is changing.
There is ton of information to prove the DNC lied about how they cheated on Bernie Sanders. There is also information out there about how Crooked Hillary Clinton delete over 30,000 emails and lied about it. Did MSNBC or The New York Times look into the famous tarmac meeting of Loretta Lynch and Bill Clinton? Also James Comes and the FBI lied about having any documents about the meeting to discuss family. I think is is so damn funny that MSNBC, The New York Times, and YouTube would go after be for calling a filthy vile Atheist who killed 27 people a possible Muslim, Bernie Supporter, or even Antifaso insulting. We have evidence of Antifa being very violent and don’t forget the Times allowed them to run a full page ad. Here is a link of Antifa being very violent against peaceful protesters. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2017/08/28/black-clad-antifa-attack-right-wing-demonstrators-in-berkeley/?utm_term=.b439518f39e9
Hell and do I need to even list the times The Religion of Peace has done violence? Here is a site with all of their beautiful and peaceful work. https://www.thereligionofpeace.com/
So why is it that MSNBC and The New York Times would do a hit piece on little me? Because they have a damn agenda to spread “REAL FAKE NEWS”. They are not upset that those 27 died but they are more upset that Hillary Clinton’s Lost the Damn Elections and to make sure it never happens again they are attacking all Conservatives and “Right-Wingers” I ask Kevin Roose has he ever done a story on false reporting of the “Left” He tried not to answer me and then said he had wrote about bias on Facebook and other Social Media. Anyone whose head is not stuck up their ass and is looking for truth would have to admit that the “Left” are the real cheaters.
Who owns almost every News Outlet and every Social Media Outlet? This includes Fox News. They are all owed by left-wing American hating, Free Speech Despising social/communist pieces of shit.
So go look at YouTube, Social Media, New York Times, CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, And even ESPN. They all lean to the left. So ask yourself the damn question. Why would these big powerhouse go after me? But I got News for you Goliath’s. You pick the wrong one to pick a damn fight with. I will be your David and I am going to war with the phony liberal bastards and only DEATH will stop me. I FEAR NO MANbut GOD. You people are the ones that has destroyed this damn country and they are so damn upset when they lose and this is what this is all about. Donald Trump won the Damn Election so get the FUCK over it.
They are attempting to bring down every conservative voice out there so when 2020 comes around they want to make sure only the “Left” is being heard.
So please join me on the radio and don’t worry we are working on a Video Platform that do not have these vague “Community Guidelines” so all of you SJW who can’t stand to have your feeling hurt. You ain’t seen nothing yet. I’m also setting up some interviews to get the word out so stay tuned and that includes all of the troll QUEERS.
