Former ESPN Race Hustler Jemele Hill Says She Hates Capitalism

God Bless Capitalism

Jemele Hill wants you to believe she hates capitalism. But she was earning $2.5 million annually at ESPN when she was bought out of her contract. She was paid $6 million to leave ESPN and they said it was amicable. She had about 2 and a half years. Left when they offered her the buyout.

In essence they paid her $6 million to shut up and that is about 90 percent of what she would have earned if she finished out her contract.

If she hates capitalism so much why does she keep benefiting from a corrupt system?

The benefits of capitalism are:

Capitalism provides a system in which individual freedom, competition, entrepreneurship, investment, and innovation can work together to create prosperity.

I believe capitalism’s greatest strengths is it provides economic freedom. People can decide what careers to pursue, what products to buy, what businesses to create, and how to invest their money.

Capitalism is a system that provides powerful incentives for innovation. Businesses that develop better products can attract customers and earn profits. Competition encourages companies to improve their technology, lower prices, increase efficiency, and provide better service.

Communism and socialism destroys peoples will and incentive to be creative and motivated. Why should I work harder if I will still get the same reward as the guy not motivated?

Competition benefits consumers because when several companies compete for customers, they have an incentive to offer attractive prices and improve quality. If a company consistently provides poor service or charges too much, customers can often take their business elsewhere. This creates a feedback mechanism in which consumers influence which companies succeed.

Capitalism has played an important role in wealth creation. Countries that developed strong market institutions have demonstrated that economies can produce enormous quantities of goods and services.

Economic growth can provide governments with greater tax revenues while giving individuals opportunities to improve their standard of living.
