Why has 1 Nut Mitt been so quite about Obama cheating and scandals?
* A new book claims former President Barack Obama hired Fusion GPS to dig up dirt on Romney
* Obama used law firm Perkins Coie to hide payment to Fusion GPS
* The Clinton campaign would later do the same thing to investigate Trump
The Barack Obama presidential campaign hired Fusion GPS in 2012 to dig up dirt on Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, according to a book released on Tuesday.
The Obama campaign hid its payments to Fusion GPS through its law firm, Perkins Coie. The arrangement is similar to the one that the Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee used to pay Fusion for its investigation of then-candidate Donald Trump in 2016.
That contract led to the creation of the infamous Steele dossier, which was written by former British spy Christopher Steele.
“In 2012, Fusion GPS was hired to do opposition research on Mitt Romney for Barack Obama’s reelection campaign,” reads “Russian Roulette: The Inside Story of Putin’s War on America and Donald Trump’s Election.”
The book is written by Michael Isikoff and David Corn, two veteran reporters who met during the 2016 campaign with Steele and Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson. (RELATED: New Book Raises Questions About Steele Dossier Source)
“As had become standard practice in the shadowy world of ‘oppo’ research, the Obama campaign’s payments to Fusion GPS were never publicly disclosed; the money paid to the investigative firm was reported on campaign disclosure reports as legal bills to the campaign’s law firm, Perkins Coie,” the book reads.
The Obama for America committee paid Perkins Coie around $3 million during the 2012 election cycle, according to filings with the Federal Election Commission, A vast majority of the payments were earmarked for “Legal Services.”
It is not clear how the law firm paid Fusion GPS for its research on Romney, a former Massachusetts governor.
Perkins Coie received more than $12 million from the Clinton campaign and DNC during the 2016 election cycle. Fusion GPS was paid just over $1 million for its research on Trump. The oppo firm paid Steele just under $178,000 for his work on the dossier.
Watch Eminem’s performance at the iHeartRadio Music awards.
Eminem has continued his run of politically charged performances with an attack on the National Rifle Association during a set at the iHeartRadio Music awards in Inglewood, California.
Adding a new freestyle verse to his song Nowhere Fast, he rapped:
This whole country is going nuts, and the NRA is in our way
They’re responsible for this whole production
They hold the strings, they control the puppet
And they threaten to take donor bucks
So they know the government won’t do nothing and no one’s budging
Gun owners clutching their loaded weapons
They love their guns more than our children
The performance was introduced by Alex Moscou, one of the survivors of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida, that left 17 people dead. He said he and his fellow students were “tired of hearing politicians sending their thoughts and prayers to us, and doing nothing to make the necessary changes to prevent this tragedy from happening again”.
Eminem’s attack on the NRA comes after fellow rapper Common criticised them during a performance of Say Something at this year’s Academy Awards, saying: “Tell the NRA they in God’s way.”
The barely veiled reference to “puppet” Donald Trump is another of Eminem’s recent attacks on the president, both in performances of his awards-show freestyles Campaign Speech and The Storm, and in a Vulture interview in which he said Trump “makes my blood boil … I want our country to be great, too, I want it to be the best it can be, but it’s not going to be that with him in charge”.
Don’t Tell Me She Does Not Look Like The Cat People From A Stephen King Movie
They are twins damit!
Once again Liberals have no concern for the welfare of Americans. Having the deputies shot and killed is better than deporting an illegal.’
Seniorita Hernandez doesn’t want to comply with Immigrations and Customs Enforcement? Surprise, surprise. Stop allowing multi-national third world people and advocates to populate the ranks of our administrations! Doing so is national suicide.
Sheriffs are supposed to enforce the law, that is their job. I assume that this sheriff took an oath to that effect after she was elected. Now she refuses to sign a letter pledging to enforce the law. Is this not grounds for impeachment? A sheriff does not have the right to decide which laws to enforce and which ones to ignore. This sheriff is the one making a political statement, not the governor.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced in January that Texas would fund $23 million in grants to purchase new vests for approximately 450 law enforcement agencies around the state. KXAN-TV reports:
Travis County did not apply for the grant because one condition from the governor’s office required the agency to “sign a letter confirming compliance with ICE detainer requests both now and during the grant term of at least one year,” according to Travis County Commissioner’s Court records.
The recommendations from the state said, “It is anticipated the number of fatal shootings will be reduced by equipping more officers with type III & IV body armor.”
Intentionally putting another’s life in jeopardy for political purposes most definitely is deserving of a long prison sentence – she has arguably committed an act of domestic terrorism, by its very definition.
Travis County Sheriff Sally Hernandez refuses to give her deputies rifle-resistance vests funded by the state because she would have to commit to holding arrested illegal aliens for deportation.

If Sheriff Hernandez loses an officer whose life could have been saved by one of these vests, I hope there is a special place in HeII for her. I also hope there is someone in the officer’s family willing to send her there prematurely.
She is playing politics with these men’s lives. But then again, it is not unlike her Washington counterparts who lets the Government shut down over the DACA illegal immigrants. These Democrats are firmly in it for the manufacture of immigrant voters.
SOUND OFF in the comment section what you think about this decision by this Texas sheriff and how will if affect their community.
Cohn resigned Tuesday from the White House after spending nearly 14 months advising the president and playing a key role in the passage of the December tax reform legislation.
Cohn was reportedly considering resigning for weeks and led the fight against Trump’s plan to impose tariffs on imported steel and aluminum. Trump announced the tariffs in late last week and Cohn resigned days later.
This MoFo got some balls to be talking about “Derelict in His Duties.
On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” former US Attorney General Eric Holder argued that there is an obstruction of justice case against President Trump and Tom Steyer is correct that President Trump is “derelict in his duties.
Holder stated, “I think that you technically have an obstruction of justice case that already exists. And I’ve known Bob Mueller for 20-30 years, my guess is he is just trying to make the case as good as he possibly can. … But I think Steyer is absolutely right, in the sense that Trump is derelict in his duties. We were attacked.
Why is this bastard not in jail?
I mean, it wasn’t a physical attack. It was an electronic attack on the most vital of our systems. And he’s done absolutely nothing to prepare us for what is to come. Because they’re still coming. They’re going to come in 2018. They’re going to come in 2020. And he’s done nothing to hold the Russians accountable, in spite of the fact that, in this dysfunctional world we have — this dysfunctional Congress, passed sanctions, that he has refused to implement. And that, for me, is breathtaking, unforgivable, and ultimately, something the American people have to hold him responsible for.”
The FBI will not expedite the release of documents about secret meetings between Comey and Obama
Comey held a secret Oval Office meeting with Obama on Jan. 5, 2017
TheDCNF requested records of all meetings between the two
The FBI states it will not expedite the release of documents about secret meetings between FBI Director James Comey and former President Barack Obama, according to a letter the bureau sent to The Daily Caller News Foundation.
Such information is not “a matter of widespread and exceptional media interest in which there exists possible questions about the government’s integrity which affects public confidence,” David Hardy, the section chief for the bureau’s Record/Information Dissemination Section, told TheDCNF in a Feb. 26 letter.
TheDCNF, under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), requested records of all meetings between Comey and Obama and sought an “expedited process” as provided under the act when issues are of great interest to the media and the records address issues pertaining to government integrity. TheDCNF FOIA request was filed Feb. 16, 2018.
The issue prompting the FOIA request was the disclosure Comey held a secret Oval Office meeting with Obama on Jan. 5, 2017. Comey never divulged the meeting to Congress.
Susan Rice, Obama’s national security adviser, former deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, and former Vice President Joe Biden also attended the meeting.
The National Archives revealed the existence of the meeting and released a declassified version of an email Rice sent to the Senate Committee on the Judiciary. Rice wrote an email to herself about the secret Jan. 5 meeting with Comey on Inauguration Day Jan. 20, 2017, as President Donald Trump was being sworn into office. The email suggested Comey may have misled Congress and was attempting to cover up the extent of his relationship with Obama.
Christopher Bedford, TheDCNF’s editor-in-chief, called the FBI denial “shameful.”
“The FBI just told us that Director James Comey potentially lying to Congress should not be of interest to us, that it doesn’t speak to their ‘integrity,’ and that it shouldn’t impact America’s ‘confidence’ in them,” Bedford said. “They said this with a straight face. We disagree, we think the American people disagree, and we think it’s absolutely shameful.”
Republican Sens. Chuck Grassley, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee and subcommittee chairman, and Lindsey Graham released the Rice email after they received it from the National Archives.
“President Obama had a brief follow-on conversation with FBI Director Comey and Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates in the Oval Office,” Rice stated in the email on Jan. 5.
The President urged Comey to proceed “by the book” on the Russian investigation, according to Rice.
Grassley of Iowa and Graham of South Carolina wrote to Rice in a Feb. 8 letter saying the email seemed “odd” to them.
“It strikes us as odd that, among your activities in the final moments on the final day of the Obama administration, you would feel the need to send yourself such an unusual email purporting to document a conversation involving President Obama,” the two wrote.
“Despite your claim that President Obama repeatedly told Mr. Comey to proceed ‘by the book,’ substantial questions have arisen about whether officials at the FBI, as well as at the Justice Department and the State Department, actually did proceed ‘by the book,’” the two senators continued.
Comey claimed in June 8, 2017, testimony before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence he had only two face-to-face meetings with the president in which they were alone.
“I spoke alone with President Obama twice in person (and never on the phone) – once in 2015 to discuss law enforcement policy issues and a second time, briefly, for him to say goodbye in late 2016,” Comey’s opening statement read.
The qualifier that he had meetings with Obama “alone” permitted the former director to suggest he only met with the former president on two occasions.
TheDCNF filed its FOIA request before the bureau “seeking records that identify and describe all meetings between former FBI Director James Comey and President Barack Obama. This records request is for all meetings with President Obama alone or with meetings with the President in the company of other administration officials.”
TheDCNF requested records to include all Comey “logs, director appointment schedules, emails and memos outlining the meetings with the former President along with administration officials,” adding, the records “should list the date of the meeting, location, topic and meeting participants.”
TheDCNF stated it sought an “expedited request” for producing the records.
“The issue of Director Comey’s meetings with President Obama is a key troubling issue for Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley,” TheDCNF wrote in its application for the expedited processing. TheDCNF attached to Grassly-Graham letter to Rice in the FOIA request for expediting handling.
Hardy said TheDCNF failed to meet its standards for expedited processing as provided under 28 CFR 16.5 (e)(1)(iv).
“You have not provided enough information concerning the statutory requirements permitting expedition: therefore your request is denied,” he told TheDCNF.
