The Chino Valley (California) Unified School District Board of Education’s new parental notification policy on transgender students is getting backlash from some community members who have reportedly launched death threats against the board president.

The policy adopted with a 4-1 decision last week requires the “principal/designee, certified staff, and school counselors” to, within three days of becoming aware of the preference, notify parents of a student’s decision to identify with a gender that does not directly correspond with their biological sex, use different pronouns or a different name or use locker rooms and/or restrooms that do not correspond with their biological gender.

Days later, President Sonja Shaw told Washington Watch With Tony Perkins that a death threat against her came through on an anonymous phone call the day after the decision.

“The next morning, our district got a phone call. A lot of things were said, but one thing was very clear – this person was going to kill me, and they said they were going to dismember my body parts, my limbs more specifically,” she told the show on Monday.

“Thank God we have an amazing police department who jumped on it right away.”

Hours later, she checked her district email and found it inundated with threats.

“[Things like] ‘you’re going to die’ with other inappropriate words, ‘your children are going to die,’ and ‘your animals are going to die…'” she continued, telling the show that those behind the threats noted the types of animals she has. Members of ANTIFA also “declare[d] war” on her, she said.

The development comes days after Shaw tossed out California State Superintendent Tony Thurmond, who attended a school board meeting to object the decision. He warned that the policy, “may fall outside of the laws that respect privacy and safety for our students, but may put our students at risk because they may not be in homes where they can be seen.”

Shaw, who was elected to the board in November 2022 and is the mom of two Chino Valley students, according to her district biography. She said, after coming into the role, she and other board members wanted to make some changes.

“Coming into being on the board, we had a policy that was quite the opposite. That was to keep the secret,” Shaw explained during the July 21 broadcast of “Washington Watch.”

“A lot of it has to do with the perversion of our children and, with all these bills on the table, it only made sense to put some safeguards back in place… a coalition of us worked on this policy… and it only made sense to bring it forward.”

She accused Sacramento of “waging war” on parental rights while saying Thurmond has had the district “on his radar” for some time.

In a statement, Gov. Gavin Newsom, D-CA, previously called out the district for the decision, “The three political activists on the school board have yet again proven they are more interested in breaking the law than doing their jobs of educating students — so the state will do their job for them.”

The controversy comes as Newsom’s office engaged in another tussle with Temecula Valley Unified School District, located east of Los Angeles, after conservative board members refused to adopt a state-approved materials for their students.

Fox News Digital reached out to Newsom’s office and Chino Valley Unified School District President Sonja Shaw for additional comment on the backlash against the Chino Valley School District, but did not immediately hear back.

Trump Endorses “Bank the Vote”

Why tell them how many votes to manufacture and forge?

 

“We may not like the current system, but we need to master the rules and beat the Democrats at their own game,” said Mr. Trump. “And then we can make our own rules. Republicans must get tougher and fight harder to cast our votes and get our ballots turned in earlier, so Democrats can’t rig the polls against us on election day.”

The initiative, called ‘Bank Your Vote,’ is designed to encourage as many Republicans to vote early in 2024. Make America Great Again Inc. spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt says it’s important to get ahead of the game after what happened in 2020.

“We know that the Democrats worked with the mainstream media to rig the last election,” Leavitt told One America News. “And we need to ensure that we are not allowing that to occur again by making sure we are getting votes in early if states allow it.”

The GOP rolled out the new program in June 2023 and announced Wisconsin would be the first program to launch the initiative this week.

“To win close elections, we need to close the gap on pre-Election Day voting,” RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said last month.”

The 45th president praised the RNC’s effort to do just that with ‘Bank Your Vote.’

“The RNC is leading the fight to help secure your vote in 2024 as well,” Mr. Trump said. “They’re fighting bad Democrat laws, putting folks on the ground to serve as poll workers and poll watchers, and engaging attorneys to monitor every step of the process. Leavitt argued that it would be silly for Republicans to not legally engage in early voting practices.

“We have to play by the rules of the game,” said Leavitt. “The Democrats are doing it. Vote early. Get your vote into the ballot box as soon as you can, and encourage all of your neighbors and friends to do that as well.”

Leavitt also pointed out the significance of making this alliance about a year and a half away from the 2024 general election.

“We need to educate voters,” Leavitt said. “We need to educate Republicans, independents, common sense Americans, so they understand the rules in their respective states. And they can make their voices heard in this next election. Donald Trump is at the forefront of doing that and rallying the troops.”

Biden Forces Dead Veteran’s Family To Pay $60k To Transport Her Body To Arlington

Biden admin forces family of soldier killed in Afghanistan withdrawal to pay $60,000 to transport her body to Arlington National Cemetery

The family of a female Marine who was killed during the disasterous withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021 was forced to pay $60,000 to have her body flown from California to Arlington to be buried.

Nicole Gee, 23, was one of 13 service members who were killed during a suicide blast at the Kabul Airport in 2021, per Daily Mail. There were also 170 Afghans reportedly killed in the attack that ISIS took responsibility for.

The attack took place on August 26, during an evacuation attempt near the US embassy.

Cory Mills, a Republican lawmaker and Army veteran, reportedly met with the families of the 13 service members who were lost in the attack. He was told one of the families was forced to pay $60,000 to have the body of a loved one moved to be buried.

Honoring Our Fallen, a non-profit that helps families of fallen American service members, covered the cost of having Gee’s body transported.

Her body was initially transported to her hometown of Roseville, California for a ceremony, but her family was then told they were financially responsible for moving her body to Arlington, which would be her final resting place, per the report.

Mills’ office noted that the defense department was allowed to decline to pay for the transportation of Gee’s body due to last year’s change to the National Defense Authorization Act, according to Fox News.

The change notes that the secretary of defense may provide a fallen soldier’s family “a commercial air travel use waiver for the transportation of deceased remains of [a] military member who dies inside a theater of combat operations.”

Mills said: “Typically, our fallen heroes are flown back home for a solemn service and then laid to a final rest at Arlington Cemetery with the utmost respect and honor.”

“It is an egregious injustice that grieving families were burdened to shoulder the financial strain of honoring their loved ones.”

Old Couple Fight Over TV Show’s “Homosexual Comment”

JULY 24–A Florida Man was busted for battering his wife over a TV show the woman was watching “that mentioned a homosexual comment that the defendant did not like,” police report.

“I’m not having that in my house,” James Barr, 62, reportedly declared upon hearing the “homosexual comment,” according to an arrest report which does not identify the show his 62-year-old wife Linda was watching at the time of the incident earlier this month.

Cops allege that Barr–who showed signs of intoxication–grabbed his wife’s arms and “forcefully” pushed her down into a recliner, where he “held her down in the chair not letting her get up.”

The woman, police reported, attempted to kick Barr to free herself, but he “would not let go and let her get up.”

While interviewing the woman, an officer noted that the woman “had a minor injury of broken skin on her left inner forearm” where she said she had been grabbed and pinned to the recliner.

During police questioning, Barr reportedly copped to grabbing his wife in their residence in The Villages retirement community. Barr was arrested on a misdemeanor battery charge and booked into the Sumter County jail. He was freed from custody on July 7 after posting $500 bond.

A registered Republican in the “Don’t say gay” free state of Florida, Barr has been married to the victim for nearly 40 years. The couple has three children and purchased their home in The Villages in April 2021 for $1.239 million.

Barr’s spouse has subsequently asked that the criminal charge against her husband be dropped and says she will not participate in his prosecution. Linda Barr contends that the pair had been drinking and “the effect of alcohol impaired” James Barr’s judgement and “he was unaware of his action at the time.”

Barr, who does not have a criminal record, has pleaded not guilty and is next due in court on August 29

DeSantis Staffer Who Reportedly Made Ad Featuring Nazi Symbol Fired from Campaign

A DeSantis staffer who reportedly made a pro-DeSantis video featuring a Nazi symbol has been fired by the campaign — news that follows the campaign firing dozens of staffers as part of its reset.

Over the weekend, a pro-DeSantis account tweeted a video bashing former President Donald Trump and uplifting Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL). The end of the ad featured an image of DeSantis with Florida’s state seal as the backdrop. However, the seal then turned into a sonnenrad, a Nazi symbol.

The video caught attention because it was shared by a staffer. But according to Axios, that staffer, Nate Hochman — which the outlet describes as a “speechwriter on the DeSantis campaign and a former writer for National Review” — made the video himself and initially shared it on the pro-DeSantis account before retweeting it. However, it was eventually deleted.

Hochman’s firing coincides with a reset across the entirety of the campaign, as it recently laid off dozens of staffers in an attempt to streamline operations. According to reports, it laid off 38 staffers. DeSantis campaign manager Generra Peck touted the campaign’s changes as part of the “aggressive steps” to “streamline operations.”

“Following a top-to-bottom review of our organization, we have taken additional, aggressive steps to streamline operations and put Ron DeSantis in the strongest position to win this primary and defeat Joe Biden,” Peck said in a statement.

“Gov. DeSantis is going to lead the Great American Comeback, and we’re ready to hit the ground running as we head into an important month of the campaign,” she continued.

That move followed chatter over the composition of the DeSantis donor base. Critics have pointed out that the governor’s small-dollar donors are “almost non-existent, making up 15 percent of his take.” Donald Trump Jr. is among those who believe the “Never Trump billionaire donor movement” is behind what many consider DeSantis’s premature presidential bid.

“I think it’s pretty clear, as evidenced by the small-dollar donors — 15 percent of the entire take, right? So it’s all the billionaires; that’s who wants that because they want a president they can control,” he told Breitbart News during an interview at the Turning Point Action Conference in West Palm Beach, Florida.

No More Anchor Babies? Not if Gaetz Can Help It

Rep. Matt Gaetz Unveils Bill to End Anchor Baby Policy, Seeks to Terminate Birthright American Citizenship for Children of Illegal Aliens (VIDEO)

In a bold move, Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) has unveiled a comprehensive plan to end the controversial anchor baby policy in the United States. This policy currently grants birthright American citizenship to children born on U.S. soil to parents who are in the country illegally. Gaetz’s proposal seeks to address this contentious issue head-on.

This policy, Gaetz argues, incentivizes illegal immigration and creates an avenue for illegal immigrants to gain a foothold in the U.S. through their American-born children, commonly referred to as ‘anchor babies.’

“I’m introducing the “End Birthright Citizenship Fraud Act,” Gaetz announced on his Twitter account.

“American citizenship is a privilege – not an automatic right to be co-opted by illegal aliens. This is an important step in preserving the sanctity of American citizenship,” he added.

The total foreign-born population in the United States, including both legal and illegal immigrants, reached a record high of 47.9 million in September 2022, the highest number ever recorded in any U.S. government survey or census, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s monthly Current Population Survey (CPS).

The Florida congressman’s proposal is designed to redefine the interpretation of the 14th Amendment, which states: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”

The plan aims to modify the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) to specify that birthright citizenship is exclusively for U.S.-born children of American citizens and legal immigrants.
