Valerie Jarrett aka Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Arrested For Inciting Unrest

Valerie Jarret Yes

According to Arab paper, former leader’s comments against Rouhani government amid rallies have led authorities to seek to place him under house arrest

Former Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been arrested by authorities for allegedly inciting unrest against the government, the London-based daily Al-Quds Al-Arabi reported Saturday, citing “reliable sources in Tehran.”

The newspaper said that Ahmadinejad, during a visit to the western city of Bushehr on December 28, said, “Some of the current leaders live detached from the problems and concerns of the people, and do not know anything about the reality of society.”

He supposedly added that Iran was suffering from “mismanagement” and that the government of President Hassan Rouhani “believes that they own the land and that the people are an ignorant society.”

According to Al-Quds Al-Arabi, Ahmadinejad’s comments, which came as anti-government protests over the economy were heating up, led to his arrest.

The newspaper said authorities now seek to impose house arrest on the former president.

The Times of Israel could not independently confirm the report.

Iran’s state TV on Saturday showed pro-government rallies in several cities, starting with Amol, in the northern province of Mazandaram, with hundreds of people waving the Iranian flag and chanting slogans against the US and Israel.

State TV described the rally as a “response to rioters and supporters of the riots.” Other pro-government demonstrations were held in Shahin Dezh, in West Azarbaijan province bordering Turkey; the city of Semnan, in the northern Semnan Province; and Shadegan, in the southern Khouzestan Province near Iraq.

The rallies are meant to be a show of force against anti-government protests that broke out in Mashhad, Iran’s second largest city, on December 28, and have since spread to several other cities and towns. The protests were sparked by a hike in food prices amid soaring unemployment. Some demonstrators have called for the government’s overthrow.

At least 21 people have been killed, and hundreds have been arrested. Large pro-government rallies have been held in response, and officials have blamed the anti-government unrest on foreign meddling.

BETHLEHEM (AFP) — Palestinians protesting church land sales to Israelis scuffled with Palestinian police in Bethlehem Saturday as they tried to block the arrival of the Holy Land’s Greek Orthodox patriarch for Christmas celebrations.

Demonstrators scuffled with club-wielding Palestinian security forces and banged on the sides of police escort vehicles but patriarch Theophilos III passed safely in his black limousine to the Church of the Nativity for the traditional Orthodox Christmas eve observance.]

Official Palestinian news agency WAFA said he joined heads of the Syrian and Coptic Orthodox churches in the ancient church, which Christians believe marks the birthplace of Jesus.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’s office told AFP he would attend midnight mass celebrated by Theophilos at the church on Saturday and would present him with a model of Jerusalem’s Holy Sepulchre church as a Christmas gift.

The Bethlehem, Beit Sahour, and Beit Jala municipalities in the West Bank had called for a boycott over the Greek Orthodox church allegedly allowing controversial sales of its property in mainly Palestinian East Jerusalem to groups aiding Jewish settlement there.

They had urged the public to stay away but it was not immediately known if there was a significant drop in attendance compared to previous days or what effect driving rain in Bethlehem may have had.

At least some official invitees were at the church to welcome Theophilos, WAFA said on its English-language website.

“He was received by Palestinian officials, including the governor of Bethlehem Jibrin Bakri and Minister of Tourism Rola Mayaya among others,” it wrote.

The mayor of the Christian town of Beit Jala, near Bethlehem, earlier said he wanted Theophilos removed from his post over the controversial land sales.

“Our move today is a protest against the patriarch over the sale of land of the Orthodox,” mayor Nicola Khamis told AFP.

The church elected Theophilos in 2005 after dismissing his predecessor Irineos over an alleged multi-million-dollar sale of church land to Jewish buyers.

But Khamis says the practice continues.

“Theophilos ignored all the demands and continued selling this land even if the [Christian] majority is against it,” he said.

“Today we are taking a stand to say the patriarch must stop the selling of the land.”

Property transactions with Jewish buyers anger Palestinians, who see East Jerusalem as the capital of their promised state.

In August, Theophilos himself denounced an Israeli court ruling upholding deals made before his appointment between the church and Israeli pro-settlement organization Ateret Cohanim for two hotel properties near the Jaffa Gate entrance to the Old City of Jerusalem.

He said the church would appeal to Israel’s supreme court over the ruling.

According to Hebrew media, the 2004 agreements were for 99-year leases on hotel properties near Jaffa Gate.

The church went to court against Ateret Cohanim, claiming the deals were signed illegally and without its authorization.

The Greek Orthodox Church is the largest and wealthiest Christian Church in Israel.

Its Jerusalem patriarchate commands massive wealth, largely in land portfolios in Israel, the West Bank, and Jordan.

Most Eastern Orthodox Christians celebrate Christmas on January 7, while those in the West observe it on December 25 because of differences between the Julian and Gregorian calendars.

Grappling with tens of millions of dollars of debt, the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate in Jerusalem has managed to balance its books by selling and leasing plots to a number of overseas companies all headed by Jewish investors, senior figures in the Greek Orthodox Church told The Times of Israel recently.

Death Causes Ajit Pai To Cancel Tech Event Appearance: Liberals Are So Peaceful

Liberals are the most racist and violent in the country.

Ajit Pai, the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, canceled a speaking engagement at a major technology industry event days before it was scheduled to place because of death threats, according to a report Thursday.

Two unnamed agency sources told Recode why Pai pulled the appearance at the annual Consumer Electronics Show Las Vegas on Jan. 9 one day after it was reported he had canceled.

The report said that federal law enforcement had looked into the situation and other FCC offices would be briefed.

While the FBI did not immediately respond to Recode, a spokesperson for the Consumer Technology Association, which hosts the event, declined to comment, and an FCC spokesman for Pai said the agency does “not comment on security measures or concerns.”

The nature of the threats are unclear, but it is the second time in recent weeks Pai has dealt with imminent security concerns.

The FCC briefly halted its meeting in December and evacuated the room in response to a security scare as the commissioners were about to vote to repeal the Obama-era net neutrality rules.

Within minutes the meeting reconvened and the agency successfully killed the Internet regulations on a party-line vote, despite a great deal of opposition from Democrats, consumers, and technology giants.

Pai, who spearheaded the repeal effort, also received death threats during the public comment period.

The invite to amnesty-advocate Flake came just as his group of pro-amnesty establishment Senators split over Democrats’ refusal to accept any of President Trump’s popular immigration reform measures. Those measures include easier deportation rules, a border wall and an end to chain-migration and the visa-lottery.

The establishment group, which include Flake, split when Sen. Thom Tillis and Sen. James Lankford exited on Thursday, saying:

Over the course of the last several weeks, we have negotiated in good faith with Senate Democrats on a DACA agreement. Unfortunately, our discussions on border security and enforcement with Democrats are much further apart, and that is key to getting a bipartisan deal on DACA. Until that happens, we cannot accomplish the solutions our country needs and many families deserve. More work remains ahead.

Before Tillis quit, he told reporters at the White House in the morning that administration officials would offer a revised list of Trump priorities to the establishment group in a White House meeting next week. According to a report in Roll Call:

Lawmakers and the administration had settled on a general framework and the plan would be shared with Democrats as early as Tuesday.

“We are all going to have an opportunity to get in a room next week and everybody’s going to see the single version,” Tillis told reporters at the Capitol.

The news that Pence invited Flake and the other leaders came after Tillis’ prediction of a meeting next week.

The Thursday afternoon exit of Tillis and Lankford cripples the establishment group, which also includes GOP Sens. Lindsey Graham and Cory Gardner, and Democratic Sens. Richard Durbin and Michael Bennett.

The group split after Trump used a White House meeting on Thursday morning to show that he would not be pushed away from his election-winning immigration agenda, despite pleading by Graham, Tillis, and Lankford.

Trump laid out his agenda on the campaign trail and formalized it in October with a long list of popular immigration principles. Since the list was published, Democrats have tried to get whittle it down by asking for updates and clarifications.

Before being picked for Vice President, Pence served in the House of Representatives with Flake, and the two became close friends.

Once elected to the Senate, Flake embraced the amnesty cause and became a charter member of the disastrous 2013 “Gang of Eight” amnesty group. Led by Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer, the gang’s amnesty bill helped the Democrats lose nine seats in the 2014 midterm elections, and allowed Trump to win the 2016 primary race.

But the Pence-Flake alliance was cracked by Flake’s steady opposition to Trump, according to an engaging article in Politico:

The old allies aren’t exactly estranged. Pence gave Flake’s son a tour of the West Wing at the White House Christmas party, and back in June, Flake snapped a photo on his iPhone as their wives reunited at the White House picnic. But it’s nothing like their heyday in the House, when one man could always be found at the other’s side. “I think that would be tough for him to explain to the president,” Flake says, grinning, “‘I was out with Flake last night.’” Whatever personal affection may have been lost, a political bond endures. At their November dinner, as the vice president pressed the senator for his vote [on the tax bill], Flake made an offer: In exchange for backing the GOP tax bill, he wanted a promise that the White House would “enact fair and permanent protections for DACA recipients.” Pence made the commitment [for an amnesty] then and there. Flake, in turn, voted to secure the administration’s first major legislative victory.

This fleeting alliance aside, in the age of Trump, a pair of conjoined political twins has been separated: Flake heading home, his star now dimmed, and Pence preparing for the possibility of succeeding Trump atop the Republican Party, be it in 2024, 2020 or, potentially, even sooner.

Pence’s record shows that he would do much more than support than a mere amnesty. In 2006, Pence used a Wall Street Journal article to tout very different legislation which would allow employers to hire an unlimited number of cheap and temporary foreign workers instead of middle-class American voters. He wrote:

Private worker-placement agencies — “Ellis Island Centers” — would be licensed by the federal government to match guest workers with jobs that employers cannot fill with American workers. These agencies will match guest workers with jobs, perform health screening, fingerprint them, and convey the appropriate information to the FBI and Homeland Security so that a background check can be performed. Once this is done, the guest worker would be provided with a visa issued by the State Department. The whole process will take a matter of one week, or less …

There will initially be no cap on the number of visas that can be issued; for the first three years, the market and the needs of U.S. employers will set the limit on the number of guest workers … After three years, however, a reasonable limit on the number of these “W” visas will be determined by the Department of Labor, based on employment statistics, employer needs and other research.

Pence actually described his business-first, cheap-labor-for-ever proposal as “the real rational middle ground.”

In contrast, real-estate entrepreneur Trump won the 2016 election with a popular pro-employee agenda, which is now helping Americans win higher salaries because companies can’t easily import foreign replacements across the line at the United States-Mexican border.

In the Thursday White House meeting with Trump, Pence declined to support Trump’s plan to change the law so that immigration rules help Americans, and he instead touted a quick amnesty for ‘DACA’ illegals:

Mr. President, you’ve made immigration a centerpiece in the national debate over the last year and a half.  And you said all along the way we’re going to build a wall and reform our immigration system.  We’re going to enforce the laws of this country for the citizens of this country.

But you’ve also said along the way we’re going to do it with a big heart.  And you’ve opened the door to an agreement on DACA, and today is part of an ongoing discussion with these Republican leaders but also with Democrats on Capitol Hill to accomplish that.  And I look forward to being a part of it.

However, the exit of Tillis and Lankford from the “ongoing discussion” will make it harder for Pence “to being a part of it.” Before the group split Thursday afternoon, Pence Tweeted:

Alyssa Farah, a spokeswoman for the Vice President, dismissed Breitbart’s questions about Pence’s commitment to Trump’s high-wages policy. “Of course the VICE PRESIDENT supports the President’s agenda– it’s their shared agenda that they work on together day in and day out,” she said in an E-mail.

However, she twice declined to say if Pence has renounced his 2007 “moderate” op-ed. She also declined to say if Pence had invited Flake to the meeting.

In a later comment, she added:

Your story yesterday is false. The VP doesn’t invite any individuals to meetings unless its at the President’s direction.

Trump’s aggressive reiteration of his pro-American policies during the meeting was a shocking turnabout for pro-amnesty GOP Senators, who had hoped to persuade Trump to make amnesty concessions to Democrats, partly by backing industry claims that Trump faces a staged January 19 deadline for a deal.

Cornyn says Judiciary R’s meeting w Trump tmrw on DACA.

Trump’s priorities are very popular with voters and can help GOP candidates overcome the expected wave of angry Democratic voters in November 2018.

For example, a December poll of likely 2018 voters shows two-to-one support for Trump’s pro-American immigration policies, and a lopsided four-to-one opposition against the cheap-labor, mass-immigration, economic policy pushed by bipartisan establishment-backed D.C. interest-groups.

The poll for NumbersUSA is another reminder to politicians that the business-funded ‘Nation of Immigrants” polls distract attention from voters’ private views, which were shockingly displayed on the evening of November 8, 2016.

Business groups and Democrats tout the misleading, industry-funded “Nation of Immigrants” polls because they which pressure Americans to say they welcome migrants, including the roughly 700,000 ‘DACA’ illegals and the roughly 3 million ‘dreamer’ illegals.

The alternative “priority” or “fairness” polls — plus the 2016 election — show that voters in the polling booths put a much higher priority on helping their families, neighbors, and fellow nationals get decent jobs in a high-tech, high-immigration, low-wage economy.

Four million Americans turn 18 each year and begin looking for good jobs in the free market.

But the federal government inflates the supply of new labor by annually accepting more than 1 million new legal immigrants, by providing work-permits to roughly 3 million resident foreigners, and by doing little to block the employment of roughly 8 million illegal immigrants.

This Washington-imposed economic policy of mass-immigration floods the market with foreign labor, spikes profits and Wall Street values by cutting salaries for manual and skilled labor offered by blue-collar and white-collar employees. It also drives up real estate prices, widens wealth-gaps, reduces high-tech investment, increases state and local tax burdens, hurts kids’ schools and college education, pushes Americans away from high-tech careers, and sidelines at least 5 million marginalized Americans and their families, including many who are now struggling with opioid addictions.

The cheap-labor policy has also reduced investment and job creation in many interior states because the coastal cities have a surplus of imported labor. For example, almost 27 percent of zip codes in Missouri had fewer jobs or businesses in 2015 than in 2000, according to a new report by the Economic Innovation Group. In Kansas, almost 29 percent of zip codes had fewer jobs and businesses in 2015 compared to 2000, which was a two-decade period of massive cheap-labor immigration.

Because of the successful cheap-labor strategy, wages for men have remained flat since 1973, and a large percentage of the nation’s annual income has shifted to investors and away from employees.

President Still Blasting Steve Bannon Who Has Not Responded

Steve Bannon must response to the attacks of Trump now.

President Donald Trump continued his feud with his former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, in response to a new book about his administration.

Trump decried Bannon’s participation in interviews for the book released on Friday by Michael Wolff.

“Michael Wolff is a total loser who made up stories in order to sell this really boring and untruthful book,” Trump wrote. “He used Sloppy Steve Bannon, who cried when he got fired and begged for his job. Now Sloppy Steve has been dumped like a dog by almost everyone. Too bad!”

Trump and his White House aides are using Bannon as a foil for the controversial book, as many of the stories feature negative information about the president’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, and her husband, Jared Kushner. Wolff also delivers sharp criticism of the president, despite White House aides giving him access to the senior staff in the West Wing.

The president sent his comment on Twitter late Friday night after traveling to Camp David to discuss his future agenda with Republican leaders in Congress.

Wolff Says Trump Has Less Credibility Than Perhaps Anyone Who Ever Walked The Earth

Is He Right?

Wolff: Trump Has ‘Less Credibility Than, Perhaps, Anyone Who Has Ever Walked on Earth’

by IAN HANCHETT5 Jan 2018

On Friday’s broadcast of NBC’s “Today,” “Fire and Fury” author Michael Wolff fired back at President Trump’s criticisms of Wolff’s book and stated that people around the president describe him as childlike.

Wolff reacted to the president’s attorneys sending him a cease and desist letter by stating that this not only drove up book sales, but proves the point of the book. He added that it is “extraordinary” that a president would try to stop a book’s publication, and another president wouldn’t do this.

The discussion then turned to Trump’s tweet about the book. Wolff said he “absolutely” spoke to the president for the book and spoke to those who had frequent contact with the president.

advertisement

He later stated, “[O]ne of the things we have to count on is that Donald Trump will attack, he will send lawyers’ letters. This is a 35-year history of how he approaches everything.”

Wolff also said, “I have recordings. I have notes. I am certainly and absolutely, in every way, comfortable with everything I’ve reported in this book.”

Anchor Savannah Guthrie then asked, “Would you release any of those recordings since your credibility is being questioned?

Wolff responded, “My credibility is being questioned by a man who has less credibility than, perhaps, anyone who has ever walked on earth at this point.”

Wolff also responded to a negative profile of him that ran in the New Republic in 2004 that accused him of inventing stories by declaring, “I’ve written many books. I’ve written millions upon millions of words. I don’t think there has ever been one correction.”

After the discussion turned to the contents of the book, Wolff said that “100%” of the people around the president question his intelligence and fitness for office.

He continued that everyone described the president as like a child because of his need for instant gratification and the fact that “It’s all about him.”

HAHA! Ayatollah Ali Khamenei Tweets Black Lives Matter Image To Shame America

The Ayatollah and Black Lives Matter make a great team. However all this happened under Obama Idiot.

They are on their way to college I’m sure. The The Ayatollah might want to rethink this BS tweet.

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei evoked the radical Black Lives Matter movement last week in a tweet slamming the United States for committing supposed “oppression” of “black women, men, & children for no justifiable reason.”

In a tweet sent from his account, Khamenei wrote, “The U.S. gov. commits oppression inside the U.S., too. U.S. police murder black women, men, & children for no justifiable reason, and the murderers are acquitted in U.S. courts. This is their judicial system! And they slam other countries’ and our country’s judicial system. #BLM“:

It is not uncommon for Islamists to align with left-wing groups and ideologies.

Iran has a track record of not providing its political prisoners with fair trials or access to proper defense attorneys. It is also known for its egregious human rights abuses and discriminating against minorities, including members of the LGBT community, Christians, Baha’is, and Jews.

Iran is the world’s largest state-sponsor of terrorism, funding Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and the Houthi rebels in Syria, to name a few.

Breitbart News documented a list of the chaos and terror the Iranian regime and its Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have reaped in the Middle East region since it came to power in 1979 after Iran’s late Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi was overthrown and replaced with radical Islamic hardliner Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.
