Elizabeth Warren’s Son-in-law Produced A Film Funded By Iran Regime

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s son-in-law produced a film funded by Iran’s Islamic regime, according to a new book by Peter Schweizer.

The book, “Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power by America’s Progressive Elite,” exposes little-known ties of progressive leaders in the 2020 Democratic presidential race to corrupt businesses and governments, including Joe Biden and Sens. Bernie Sanders, Amy Klobuchar, Kamala Harris and Cory Booker.

Sushil Tyagi, who is married to Warren’s daughter, Amelia, “has been involved in a series of curious – even troubling – business ventures around the world” since joining the Warren family, Schweizer writes, reports Breitbart News.

Tyagi, who runs Tricolor Films, produced a film in 2008 called “The Song of Sparrows,” directed by Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi.

TRENDING: Teen cashier buys cop’s dessert. Couple behind cop throws fit, gets teen suspended

Schweizer notes in his book that the full credits of the film have been scrubbed from the internet. He obtained a copy by using the Wayback machine and discovered the chief investors were the social deputy of the State Welfare Organization of Iran as well as the Cultural and Artistic Organization of Tehran.

Both are funded and controlled by the mullah-led regime.

The Cultural and Artistic Organization of Tehran’s web page such as the anti-Semitic Quds Day on the last day of Ramadan. It states that for Quds Day – Quds is the name for Jerusalem used to convey Islamic ownership – a “new plan for the destruction of Israel will be launched.”

“Quds Day typically features massive crowds organized by the Iranian government chanting ‘death to America’ and burning effigies, with full media coverage,” Schweizer points out.

The credits for Tyagi’s “The Song of Sparrows” read like a “who’s who of prominent Iranian government institutions.”

They include a thank-you to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Air Force.

The film was released during a time of heightened U.S.-Iran tensions, Schweizer notes, when Washington had accused Iran of assisting in the killing of five American soldiers based in Iraq.

Then-Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had repeatedly declared the U.S. a “satanic power,” warning Israel would disappear from the face of the earth.

Entire Russian Government Resigns As Putin Proposes Constitutional Changes

MOSCOW — Russia’s president Vladimir Putin on Wednesday launched a major political shake-up, replacing his prime minister Dmitry Medvedev and proposing a series of changes to Russia’s constitution, in what was seen as an attempt to create options for retaining power after his presidential term expires in 2024.

Putin used his annual state of the nation address in Moscow to announce several proposed amendments to the constitution, which would transfer greater power to Russia’s parliament and which he said would be put to a national vote.

Then a few hours after the speech, Medvedev announced he and the entire cabinet were stepping down at Putin’s request. Putin said Medvedev, a long-time ally who held the presidency for him between 2008 and 2012, will now become deputy chairman of Russia’s national security council.

The moves that stunned Russians were immediately interpreted by observers as part of efforts by Putin to prepare for his looming transition in 2024, when constitutional term limits mean he must leave the presidency. At 67, Putin has ruled Russia for two decades and the question of how he will handle the deadline when it arrives in four years time has been growing ever larger recently. In his speech, Putin framed the changes as necessary to give the parliament greater responsibility for policy-making, but in reality experts said the proposed changes seemed designed to open up possibilities for allowing him to stay in power after leaving office and to weaken any successor in the presidency.

Medvedev, who announced the cabinet’s resignation while with Putin at a meeting broadcast on state television, said he was stepping down so Putin could appoint a new government to help carry through the constitutional reforms.

“In this context it’s obvious that we as the government of the Russian Federation must give the president of our country the opportunity to do everything necessary for this decision,” Medvedev said.

Shortly afterwards Putin named Medvedev’s successor as prime minister, Mikhail Mishustin, the relatively little-known head of the Federal Tax Service, saying his candidacy had been sent to parliament for approval. Mishustin, 53, is not thought of as a major power broker or a member of Putin’s inner circle, although as head of the tax agency he has been praised for overhauling Russia’s backward tax collection system, introducing data technologies that have made it one of the most advanced in the world.

The changes to the constitution that Putin suggested in his speech would transfer powers away from the presidency and strengthen the parliament, known as the Duma, as well as the Federation Council — Russia’s equivalent of the Senate — and the Supreme Court.

One key change would take the power of selecting a cabinet from the presidency and pass it to the parliament. Currently, the prime minister and ministers are appointed by the president. But under Putin’s proposal, parliament would now select the prime minister who would then nominate his own ministers for approval by members of parliament. Another change would grant the Federation Council the authority to confirm the appointments of the head of Russia’s key security agencies.

The parliament’s deputy speaker, Alexander Zhukov told reporters after the speech that the national vote on the amendments would likely take place this year, perhaps in September.

Putin has long avoided saying whether he will stay on after 2024, but experts said the proposed changes indicated the potential routes the Kremlin was now considering for getting out of his transition problem. Russia’s constitution currently sets a two consecutive term limit on presidencies, and Putin, who has effectively ruled the country since 2000, is now in his fourth. In 2008, he sidestepped the limit on consecutive terms by temporarily passing the presidency to Medvedev while he became prime minister before returning to office in 2012.

But Putin has suggested this time he will not repeat the trick and on Wednesday suggested that the word “consecutive” be removed from the constitutional article on term limits.

Alexei Makarkin, an analyst at the Moscow-based Center for Political Technologies, said Putin’s proposals showed he had decided not to stay on as president but was clearly preparing to maintain his power from outside the office. That meant, Putin was also not planning on replacing himself with a successor, he said.

The proposed changes to the constitution, Makarkin told ABC News, were intended to ensure any president taking over from Putin would be weaker so he can retain his authority from a new position.

“They need to remove the question itself — of selecting a successor,” Makarkin said. “Putin himself would not like there to be a second Putin,” Makarkin told ABC News.

Many noted that in his speech Putin proposed strengthening the role of the State Council in the constitution. One widely speculated option is that Putin could become head of a reformed council as a way for him to remain a supreme leader figure, following a model employed by China’s Deng Xiaoping. Another version would see Putin partly repeat his 2008 move, becoming a newly more powerful prime minister.

“Putin seems [to be] preparing for transition but acting as though he doesn’t know the exact contours of what such a transition would necessitate,” Anna Aruntunyan, senior Russian analyst with Crisis Group wrote on Twitter. “He wants to have things to choose from.”

Vladimir Putin’s pro-Kremlin candidates suffer unusual losses in Moscow election after protests

Medvedev’s stepping down as prime minister was also seen by some as a sign he is now out of consideration as a candidate for Putin’s successor. In recent years he had become seen as a liability, widely mocked among Russians and viewed as corrupt.

The proposed changes would not mean a major transfer of power while Putin remains president as the presidential administration currently dominates Russia’s parliament, which acts as a rubber stamp for the Kremlin’s actions. Putin’s party United Russia holds a large majority and the parliament is stocked with faux opposition parties that actually support Putin.

Putin also emphasised that Russia “must remain a presidential republic,” and said that such a huge and diverse country cannot survive without a strong presidency. The president would also retain the key power to fire a prime minister and other ministers, the Russian president said.

As he has before, Putin focused his speech heavily on the need to improve living standards and fight poverty levels. At times he has used his national address to deliver menacing diatribes against the West and in 2018 he unveiled a series of super weapons that he claimed placed Russia ahead in any new arms race.

Putin made reference to those weapons again on Wednesday, saying other countries were now having to try to catch up with Russia. One of the proposed constitutional amendments would also affirm the primacy of Russia’s constitution over international treaties and conventions, which authorities could use to ignore rulings from bodies such as the European Court of Human Rights.

But he largely avoided speaking about international affairs and instead promised a series of measures to aid families, including providing free school meals to all children for the first four years of their education. One of the other constitutional changes he proposed was a stipulation that the minimum wage in Russia not be lower than the poverty line.

Lev Parnas Says Trump Is Lying — ‘He Was Aware of All My Movements’

PAM KEY15 Jan 20202,5410:58

Lev Parnas said during an exclusive interview with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow that President Donald Trump “knew exactly what was going on,” with his dealings in Ukraine.

Maddow asked, “What do you think is the main inaccuracy, the main lie being told that you feel like you can correct?

Parnas said, “That the president didn’t know what was going on. President Trump knew exactly what was going on. He was aware of all of my movements. I wouldn’t do anything without the consent of Rudy Giuliani or the president.”

Maddow said, “In terms of the president and what he has said about you. He said about you and Mr. Fruman, Igor Fruman, I don’t know those gentlemen. I don’t know about them. I don’t know what they do. You’re saying that was not a true statement.:

Virginia Governor Declares State Of Emergency, Because He Wants Your Guns

Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam issued a state of emergency on Wednesday that bars any weapons from the Richmond’s Capitol Square from Friday to Tuesday, after he received credible intelligence that hate groups and armed militias are planning violence at next Monday’s Lobby Day against gun control legislation.

Northam, who discussed the threats at a news conference, said the state’s law enforcement analysis found that the chatter on the internet and other venues mirrored similar messages seen around the time of the 2017 Charlottesville “Unite the Right” rally, which left three dead and more than 30 injured.

The governor declined to give exact details about the threats and the persons making them, but said that these groups, who were coming from outside of the state, talked about storming the Virginia Capitol.

“They are not coming to peacefully protest, they are coming to intimidate and to cause harm,” he said of the outside groups.

The announced weapons ban will include sticks, bats, chains, projectiles, and firearms, similar to the prohibitions issued on airlines and in courthouses, Northam said. State, Capitol and Richmond police officers will coordinate the safety in the square and set up checkpoints to make sure everyone adheres to the weapons ban.

“It makes no sense to ban every other weapon but allow firearms when intelligence shows a threat of an armed militia groups storming our capital,” Northam said.

Gun rights advocates from around the country plan on attending the state’s Lobby Day on Monday to speak out against new gun control legislation that is moving forward under the newly Democratic-controlled Virginia House of Delegates and state Senate. Some of the bills include universal background checks on guns, an assault rifles ban and a “red flag” law that would give judges the authority to order an individual to temporarily turn in their weapon if they are deemed a threat.

Seventeen states including New York and Florida, as well as Washington, D.C., have previously passed red flag laws.

The Virginia Citizens Defense League, VCDL, a group that describes itself as a “non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots organization dedicated to advancing the fundamental human right of all Virginians to keep and bear arms,” plans on holding a rally. Northam said he respects the rights of Virginians to protest and speak their mind about the gun control bills, but emphasized that he will not condone any threat of violence.

He called on the VCDL and other gun rights groups to stick to peaceful protests.

“I call on them to disavow anyone who wishes to use Monday’s rally to advance a violent agenda,” Northam said. “Hate, intimidation and violence have no place here.”

Representatives for the VCDL didn’t immediately return messages for comment.

Idiot Ilhan Omar Says Iran War Talk Has Sparked PTSD For Her

Go Back To Somalia!

Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar said this week that she has found herself “stricken with PTSD,” amid America’s escalating tensions with Iran. While some have criticized her comments, others have chimed in in support.

“I feel ill a little bit because of everything that is taking place. I think every time I hear about…I hear of conversations around war, I find myself being stricken with PTSD,” she explained during a Wednesday press conference. “And I find peace knowing that I serve with great advocates for peace and people who have shown courage against war.”

Omar also tweeted Wednesday criticizing President Trump’s plans to impose harsh economic sanctions against Iran. Trump announced the plan several hours after Iran’s missile strike against two Iraqi bases housing American troops. It was a retaliatory strike after the U.S. killed Iran’s top general, Qassem Soleimani, last week.

Ilhan Omar✔@IlhanMN

This makes no sense. Sanctions are economic warfare.

They have already caused medical shortages and countless deaths in Iran.

You cannot claim to want deescalation and then announce new sanctions with no clear goal. This is not a measured response! https://twitter.com/buzzfeednews/status/1214951572251262977 …BuzzFeed News✔@BuzzFeedNewsTrump: The US “will immediately impose additional punishing economic sanctions” on Iran as we evaluate options43.1K12:47 PM – Jan 8, 2020Twitter Ads info and privacy32K people are talking about this

Omar’s comments were met with backlash from an Indiana congressman who served in Afghanistan.

“This is a disgrace and offensive to our nation’s veterans who really do have PTSD after putting their life on the line to keep America safe,” Rep. Jim Banks tweeted.

Omar responded, saying it was “shameful” of Banks to erase the PTSD of survivors. Omar was born in Mogadishu, Somalia in 1981 and fled the country when she was 10 with her family at the beginning of the Somali Civil War in 1991. Her family spent four years at a refugee camp in Kenya before coming to the United States in 1995. She moved to Minnesota in 1997.

Ilhan Omar✔@IlhanMN

Hi Jim,

I survived war as a child and deal with post-traumatic stress disorder—much like many who have served or lived through war.

It’s shameful that you as a member of Congress would erase the PTSD of survivors.

PTSD, or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, is a psychiatric disorder that can occur in those who have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event. It does not only effect combat veterans and the American Psychiatric Association gives natural disaster, a serious accident, a terrorist act, rape and violent personal assault as examples of events that can cause PTSD along with war and combat.

Others on Twitter expressed support for Omar’s PTSD comment. Jason Kander, a veteran and former Secretary of State in Missouri said “It’s not up to us to decide who is and is not ‘worthy’ of PTSD.”

“Trauma is trauma. A uniform is not required,” Kander tweeted.

Common Defense, an anti-Trump veterans group, also came to Omar’s defense, saying Banks’ comments were “tremendously ignorant.”

“Veterans like us know that people wearing uniforms aren’t the only ones impacted by war,” the organization tweeted.

Muslim Ilhan Omar Upset At Trump For Killing Iranian Terrorist In Iraq

She Married Her Brother.

Far-left Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) attacked President Donald Trump late on Thursday night for his order to kill top terrorist leaders in Iraq and also promoted a conspiracy theory.

Iranian Major-General Qassem Soleimani, head of the Quds Force, and Iraqi militia commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis were the two terrorist leaders who were killed. Al-Muhandis was in charge of the Iranian-linked Popular Mobilization Forces.

The Department of Defense released a statement stating that Trump ordered the strike because “General Soleimani was actively developing plans to attack American diplomats and service members in Iraq and throughout the region.”

“General Soleimani and his Quds Force were responsible for the deaths of hundreds of American and coalition service members and the wounding of thousands more,” the Pentagon continued. “He had orchestrated attacks on coalition bases in Iraq over the last several months – including the attack on December 27th – culminating in the death and wounding of additional American and Iraqi personnel. General Soleimani also approved the attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad that took place this week.”

Despite the statement from the Pentagon and the clear reasoning behind the attack, Omar responded by suggesting that Trump secretly carried out the strike to provide a “distraction” from the upcoming Senate impeachment trial.

Omar tweeted: “So what if Trump wants war, knows this leads to war and needs the distraction? Real question is, will those with congressional authority step in and stop him? I know I will.”

Ilhan Omar✔@IlhanMN

The question is this – as reports suggest, did America just assassinate, without any congressional authorization, the second most powerful person in Iran, knowingly setting off a potential massive regional war?

Omar has a documented history of being sympathetic to Islamic terrorists. Here are just a few examples:

  • Advocated for leniency and “compassion” in the sentencing of men who were convicted of trying to join ISIS
  • Called for a senior Muslim Brotherhood member to be released from jail in Egypt
  • Voted against a bill that allowed insurance companies to deny life insurance payouts to terrorist’s families.

Trump responded to news of the strike by posting a single tweet on Twitter of an American flag.

The Qod’s Force is Iran’s elite military force and is a designated terrorist organization.

The U.S. State Department reports the following details on the Qod’s Force:

  • The IRGC—most prominently through its Qods Force—has the greatest role among Iran’s actors in directing and carrying out a global terrorist campaign.
    • In recent years, IRGC Qods Force terrorist planning has been uncovered and disrupted in many countries, including Germany, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Kenya, Bahrain, and Turkey.
    • The IRGC Qods Force in 2011 plotted a brazen terrorist attack against the Saudi Ambassador to the U.S. on American soil. Fortunately, this plot was foiled.
    • In September 2018, a U.S. federal court found Iran and the IRGC liable for the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing which killed 19 Americans.
    • In 2012, IRGC Qods Force operatives were arrested in Turkey for plotting an attack and in Kenya for planning a bombing.
    • In January 2018, Germany uncovered ten IRGC operatives involved in a terrorist plot in Germany, and convicted another IRGC operative for surveilling a German-Israeli group.
