Is this why Janet Yellen bowed to a Chinese official during last week’s visit?

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen dined on magic mushrooms during her recent visit to China.

Yellen was spotted dining at Yi Zuo Yi Wang, a restaurant that serves jian shou qing, a Yunnan wild mushroom species, according to a Chinese food blogger.

According to the microblogger, Yellen had four portions of the psychedelic mushrooms.

“The general belief is that you have to fully cook the fungi to rid them of hallucinogenic properties,” CNN reported.

Dr. Peter Mortimer, a botanist and professor at Kunming Institute of Botany told CNN the psychedelic effects vary from person to person.

“I have a friend who mistakenly ate them and hallucinated for three days,” Dr. Mortimer told CNN.

It’s been several days since US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen left Beijing, and much has been said about her efforts to repair the US-China relationship.

But politics aside, her Beijing visit resulted in one unexpected success – she managed to dramatically boost business for a Yunnan restaurant chain while bringing jian shou qing, an unusual yet highly sought-after mushroom prized for its unique properties, into the national limelight.

Shortly after the treasury secretary landed in Beijing last week, her delegation was spotted dining at Yi Zuo Yi Wang (In and Out). Contrary to the eatery’s English name, there are no burgers here. This restaurant chain specializes in Yunnan food, a popular regional cuisine from part of southwestern China that borders Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar.

Many netizens expressed curiosity, wondering who picked the restaurant. Others noted they were impressed by Yellen’s chopsticks skills and her delegation’s down-to-earth choice for her first post-flight meal.

But the most heated discussions were focused on the multiple orders of the mushroom dish – jian shou qing.

An aide to the treasury secretary confirmed to CNN that Yellen did eat at the restaurant and greatly enjoyed the experience, including the mushroom dish.

Hunter Biden Threatens Trump With a Lawsuit

Another Biden appears to be setting his sights on former President Donald Trump.

Earlier this week, Law360 correspondent Frank G. Runyeon shared a “cease and desist” letter he obtained from Hunter Biden attorney Abbe David Lowell to lawyers for the former president.

“Hunter Biden’s attorney demands Donald Trump cease & desist from statements ‘both defamatory and likely to incite’ violence against the U.S. president’s son,” Runyeon noted on Twitter in a post containing a screenshot of the demand letter.

Lowell, with the Winston & Strawn law firm, addressed members of Trump’s legal team in the demand letter as well.

“As you know, Winston & Strawn represents, and I am writing on behalf of our client, Hunter Biden,” the letter began.

“I am sending this letter to make a demand that your client, former President Donald Trump, cease and desist from making public statements about my client which are both defamatory and likely to incite Mr. Trump’s followers to take actions against Mr. Biden and which could lead to his or his family’s injury,” Lowell wrote.

The attorney specifically highlighted a post made by the former president on his Truth Social platform, which targeted David Weiss, the U.S. attorney in Delaware responsible for overseeing the prosecution of Hunter Biden on charges related to taxes and firearms.

“Weiss is a COWARD, a smaller version of Bill Barr, who never had the courage to do what everyone knows should have been done. He gave out a traffic ticket instead of a death sentence. Because of the two Democrat Senators in Delaware, they got to choose and/or approve him. Maybe the judge presiding will have the courage and intellect to break up this cesspool of crime. The collusion and corruption is beyond description. TWO TIERS OF JUSTICE!” Trump said.

In June, Hunter Biden agreed to a plea deal that keeps him out of prison for the tax and gun charges, though that deal has since been scrutinized.

In particular, Lowell took umbrage with Trump’s reference to a “death sentence.”

“You may respond that this was a mere figure of speech,” he wrote. “However, we have seen that what might pass as such a phrase when uttered by rational people is heard by too many in this country as some terrible injustice for which they must take physical and violent action.”

Lowell then falsely blamed any deaths that occurred in the aftermath of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot on Trump and his rhetoric, though as president at the time, he encouraged supporters to “peacefully” march to the Capitol to protest the outcome of the 2020 election.

Biden’s attorney said his demand letter is “not a false alarm” before proceeding to invoke former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, who was assaulted in their home last year by a crazed vagrant.

Lowell made reference to a report that said Pelosi’s assailant had Hunter Biden’s name on a “hit list” as well.

“We are just one such social media message away from another [Pelosi-like] incident, and you should make clear to Mr. Trump — if you have not done so already — that Mr. Trump’s words have caused harm in the past and will and threaten to do so again if he does not stop,” he wrote.

Recently, Kathleen Buhle, Hunter Biden’s ex-wife, dished on their marriage in a tell-all memoir called, “If We Break.”

The book details Buhle’s side of the story regarding her divorce from Hunter Biden and how their split played out in court.

“In February 2017, Buhle alleged in a legal filing that her estranged ex had spent money on drugs, alcohol, prostitutes, and strip clubs. Buhle’s book doesn’t shy away from those previous disclosures; instead, it will shine a light on the heavy toll addiction can take on relationships, according to the book’s publisher,” People reported last year.

Kamala Harris Sets Internet On Fire After Gaffe In Which She Said She Wants To ‘Reduce Population’

Vice President Kamala Harris set the Internet on fire with conspiracy theories after a gaffe she made in a speech on climate change.

The voice president said in the speech that one of the goals for a cleaner environment was to reduce population, which the White House later corrected.

“When we invest in clean energy, and electric vehicles, and reduce population, more of our children can breathe clean air and drink clean water,” she said in a speech on clean energy.

Conservatives seized on the error.

Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene who tore into her..

“@VP what do you mean by reduce population? Abortion? Assisted suicide? Or what means are you suggesting to reduce population in (order) to help public health?” she said.

“What she just said, you’re not supposed to say if you’re a liberal,” Fox News host Jesse Watters said on his show “Jesse Watters Primetime.” “They’ve been saying this for a long time, they need to reduce population to heal the planet. How does she actually intend to do that do you think?”

“This is another one of those Republican conspiracy theories you’ve said for so long, that Democrats want to reduce the population, and then she just flat out said it,” Tomi Lahren responded.

“Kamala Harris admits she wants to reduce the population for environmental reasons. That’s not just anti-American. That’s anti-human,” Ohio state Sen. Michael Rulli said.

“Are you the population she wants to reduce?” Rep. Thomas Massie said.

But in the official transcript of the speech the White House corrected the vice president and said that the word she intended to use was pollution.

“When we invest in clean energy and electric vehicles and reduce population pollution, more of our children can breathe clean air and drink clean water,” the official White House transcript shows.

Fox News “Outnumbered” co-host Harris Faulkner expressed concern for Vice President Kamala Harris after pointing out some of her most recent “word salad” explanations of various topics and subject matter.

During a show segment on Thursday, the program rolled a video of the VP saying, “The issue of transportation is fundamentally about just making sure that people have the ability to get where they need to go.”

That led co-host Kayleigh McEnany to say, “Hmmm. But wait, there’s more,” before pointing to Harris’ claim in a tweet that “the majority of domestic flights do not have accessible restrooms.”

“The majority of domestic flights do not have accessible restrooms. This is absolutely unacceptable. Our Administration will soon announce a solution to help end this inequity,” Harris wrote.

“And, you know, she’s counting the letters of AI and telling the rest of us that there are only two letters,” she added. “I’m worried for her.”

“I am too, I am too,” McEnany agreed. “As a former colleague reminded me, VP has only two letters, as well.”

“It stands for Vice President,” joked Fox News contributor Marc Thiessen.

“Thank you for clearing that up,” Faulkner responded mockingly.

On Thursday, activists from Letzte Generation (Last Generation) used a concrete and epoxy resin mixture to glue their hands to asphalt, disrupting air traffic at two airports in Germany.

The stunt blocked runways at Hamburg and Duesseldorf airports leaving thousands of passengers facing flight delays and cancelations.

The use of concrete and epoxy resin does not sound either environmentally friendly, or safe.

One protester in Germany screamed in pain as officials tried to free his glued hand from the pavement.

Caviezel joined General Michale Flynn to address warnings he has received after shining light on the “three letter agencies that have gone along with this wickedness” and the smears directed at him, and the film, from the far-left mainstream media.

Caviezel did not hold back.

During a portion of an interview set to air on Sunday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s “Sunday Morning Futures” that was aired on Friday’s broadcast of FBN’s “Mornings with Maria,” 2024 presidential candidate former President Donald Trump stated that “it probably was” a mistake for him to nominate Christopher Wray to be FBI Director during his term and Wray “was recommended very strongly” by 2024 GOP rival former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

Host Maria Bartiromo introduced the clip of the interview by stating, “President Trump reacting to this week’s Judiciary Committee hearing with FBI Director Christopher Wray. I spoke with the 45th President…we started our conversation with a look at the upcoming debate and whether he will participate, and I got his reaction to the FBI Director defending [against] the charges of weaponization and [politicization] at the FBI.”

In the segment, she asked, “Was it a mistake to put Christopher Wray there? I mean, obviously, the FBI is not following any of the things that you’re talking about.”

Trump responded, “Yeah, sadly, it probably was. You know, he was recommended very strongly by Chris Christie, who’s a sad case. I mean, I watch him. He’s a sad case.”
